Within the scope of the "Ulaanbaatar Metro" project, a detailed soil analysis was conducted at 15 designated station locations to establish the environmental baseline conditions. This study is essential for determining whether the soil conditions at the project sites are safe for public health and for documenting the pre-construction baseline conditions.

The analysis conducted to determine the concentrations of heavy metals, which have the most significant impact on public health, yielded the following results:

The study indicates that meadow-permafrost soil, anthrosol (urbanized soil), and dark chestnut soil are the predominant types within the project’s impact zone. Although human activity and urbanization have altered the natural soil structure in certain areas, the majority of locations are evaluated as "uncontaminated" according to the ecological index. This indicates that the soil quality at the project site remains in good condition.
