PUBLIC MEETING HELD TO PRESENT THE METRO PROJECT AND ESIA REPORT TO RESIDENTS OF SUKHBAATAR DISTRICT


As part of the Metro Project, a public meeting was held on 2025.06.24 to present the Environmental Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) report and to exchange views with residents of the Sukhbaatar District, 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 Khoroo(s) that are affected by the metro alignment.

During the meeting, detailed information was provided on the objectives of the metro project, its implementation process, route alignment, potential environmental and social impacts, as well as proposed mitigation measures. Project representatives also responded to questions from residents and provided clarifications on matters of concern.

The meeting was jointly organized by the "UB Metro" Project Unit of the Integrated Project Management Office, Econature LLC, DOHWA Engineering Co., Ltd., including experts from the Republic of Korea, in cooperation with the Sukhbaatar District and 1, 2, 4, 5, 8 Khoroo local administration. Residents actively participated in the discussion and openly shared their opinions and suggestions.

Overall, participants expressed positive feedback, noting that the meeting was informative and productive, and that they gained a better understanding of the project and received clear answers to their questions. The organizers concluded that the meeting was conducted effectively and stated that the feedback and recommendations from residents would be considered in the further implementation of the project.
